Store checks
What AEOsome checks across your whole store so AI shopping agents can find it, buy from it and trust it.
A product page is only half of what an AI shopping agent reads. It also reads a few files and pages that belong to the store as a whole. AEOsome checks them for every connected store on the same schedule as your page audits, and the Ready for AI shopping card on Overview shows the result.
Found by ChatGPT
ChatGPT finds products through its search crawler, OAI-SearchBot, and through the fields on each product. The row fails when your robots.txt blocks an AI search crawler, and needs work when products miss a field ChatGPT requires. Blocking a training crawler such as GPTBot does not count against you: it does not decide whether you appear in an answer.
Buyable in Google AI Mode
Google's agents check out through the Universal Commerce Protocol. A store publishes a profile at
/.well-known/ucp that says how to pay and which tools an agent can call.
- Shopify publishes this profile for every store. If the row fails, the profile did not load.
- WooCommerce has no built-in profile. Add one with a UCP plugin from the WordPress plugin directory; the next store check confirms it.
Trusted by agents
An agent quotes your returns before it recommends a purchase. The row fails when no returns or refund policy loads, and needs work when the privacy policy or terms are missing. On Shopify, add them in Settings, Policies. On WooCommerce, publish them as pages and link them in the footer.
Readiness over time
Each store check also counts how many of your products are ready for AI shopping. Once two checks have a count, the card says how the latest compares with the one before, for example "45 of 60 products ready for AI shopping, up from 40 on Oct 3, 2026."
A check that finds your store got worse opens a finding on Overview. That happens when the UCP profile stops answering, when robots.txt newly blocks an AI search crawler, or when the ready count falls by a tenth or more. Paid plans also get an alert.
Do ready products get named more?
When you track at least five products the feed accepts and five it leaves out, the card compares how often AI answers named each group over the last 30 days. With fewer than twenty products in either group it says the gap is a hint, not proof: many things besides the feed decide which products an answer names.
llms.txt
No major AI engine reads llms.txt yet, so a missing or invalid file is a low-priority item, not a failed check. You can still publish one; AEOsome writes it for you.
